Day 1:
Madrid
Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport, a driver be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Our guide will be ready to welcome you and will provide the necessary information. In the evening we’ll head to Plaza de Espana and Gran Via, a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant, which multiple cuisines to choose from.
Day 2:
Madrid
This morning, experience the city on a guided tour, showcasing the beautiful Plaza Mayor, the city’s broad and magnificent avenues, and myriad fountains. We’ll also tour the interior of Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, a gorgeous building that showcases the city’s great architecture. Here we’ll learn about the tradition of corridas (running with the bulls) in the museum. Next, we’ll take a walking tour of beautiful Retiro Park, enhanced by the lake and Crystal Palace. Afterwards you’ll be free to explore on your own. If you wish, there is an optional, own-expense visit to the Royal Palace. At sunset we’ll head to Plaza de Oriente in the historic center of Madrid where you can enjoy dinner (own expense).

Day 3:
Madrid -Zaragoza – Montserrat – Barcelona
We’ll depart early in the morning from Madrid and head towards the stunning region of Aragon, stopping in the city of Zaragoza. Here we’ll visit the magnificent Basilica del Pilar and then enjoy some free time in the city center. Later, we’ll make our way to Catalunya and admire impressive rocky landscapes, making a special side trip to Montserrat Monastery (rack railway fare included). Then we’ll arrive at today’s destination, Barcelona! We’ll head to the Plaza de Colon and Maremagnum, a vibrant area right next to the sea. This is where the most innovative spirit of the city blends with its deep historic character.

Day 4:
Barcelona
Today we’ll get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert and visit the city’s historic central area with its Gothic neighborhood dating back to the Middle Ages. Then we will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place, as well as La Sagrada Familia, the magnificent basilica designed by architect Gaudi (admission not included). Afterwards, we’ll head to Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village), an open-air architectural museum in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Then you’ll have free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we’ll head to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants for dinner.

Day 5:
Barcelona – Peñiscola – Valencia
Early in the morning, we’ll take a scenic trip through the Spanish heartland. On our way to Granada, we’ll make a stop in Caravaca de la Cruz, a small town considered by the Catholic Church to be one of the five holy cities. We’ll continue through beautiful landscapes to Andalusia and arrive in Granada.

Day 6:
Valencia – Caravaca De La Cruz – Granada
Early in the morning, we’ll take a scenic trip through the Spanish heartland. On our way to Granada, we’ll make a stop in Caravaca de la Cruz, a small town considered by the Catholic Church to be one of the five holy cities. We’ll continue through beautiful landscapes to Andalusia and arrive in Granada.

Day 7:
Granada
Enjoy a full day in Granada. Admission to the immense Alhambra Palace and the beautiful Generalife gardens is included in your package.* The afternoon is yours to explore the Cathedral with its sepulcher of the Catholic Kings, among other relics. In the evening we’ll transfer you to Plaza de Gracia in Granada’s city center, where restaurants mix with the local flavor. Later that night you will have the option of attending a flamenco show in the traditional neighborhood of Sacromonte.

Day 8:
Granada – Marbella – Ronda – Seville
Leaving Granada, we’ll travel towards Costa del Sol, the Sunshine Coast of Spain, defined by beautiful Mediterranean landscapes. We’ll stop in Malaga for a stroll through the historic center. We’ll also visit Puerto Banus, located in Marbella, one of the most cosmopolitan coastal cities. Here we’ll stroll through the marina for a peek at the luxury yachts. We’ll continue our journey through the mountains before reaching Ronda, a beautiful traditional white village with its impressive El Tajo gorge that divides the city in half. Next we’ll arrive in the great city of Seville. We’ll have time to relax in historic city center area (Calle Alfonso XII) where many different restaurants can be found for your delight.

Day 9:
Seville
After breakfast, a local expert will guide you through gorgeous Seville, featuring the Cathedral and its famous Giralda. We’ll also tour the popular neighborhoods Santa Cruz and Triana, and the beautiful Plaza de Espana. Enjoy leisure time directly afterwards. In the late afternoon, we’ll go to the historic city center area (Calle Alfonso XII) where many different restaurants can be found (own expense).

Day 10:
Seville – Cordoba – Consuegra – Madrid
We leave Seville following the valley of the Guadalquivir to Córdoba, where we’ll visit the great Cordoba Mosque-Cathedral and the ancient synagogue (admission included) with a local guide, followed by a stroll in the old district. After free time for lunch (own expense), we’ll continue to the Castilian lands and stop at Consuegra with its 12 giant windmills overlooking the La Mancha plain. We’ll visit Venta Rucio windmill, admission included. Later we’ll make the return journey to Madrid, arriving late in the day.
