Heathrow Airport – Hotel

Arrive at Heathrow Airport and be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the fascinating city of London at your own pace. In the evening, enjoy an Indian dinner within walking distance of the hotel, included in your package. Dinner reservations are at 7:00pm. If you wish to have dinner at a later time, you must walk to the restaurant on your own. You must arrive in London before 8:00pm on the first day to enjoy the complimentary dinner. Those arriving at the hotel between 8:00pm and 9:00pm will be provided a box dinner.

Earliest hotel check-in is 2:00pm

Later we’ll drive to the center of London to see Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace. We’ll also ride on the London Eye, offering unforgettable panoramas of the London skyline. Later we’ll visit Madame Tussauds, admission included.

Breakfast is included.
London – Glasgow

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the coach departing for Gretna Green. We will be covering quite a distance today to reach Scotland, so ensure you carry your key essentials and devices for your entertainment for the journey. In the afternoon we stop for lunch at Gretna Green, the UK’s most famous place to get married, also home of the world-famous Iron Forgeries. Speak to your tour manager for purchasing traditional shortbread at a reasonable cost. The stop will only sell Western food, and there will be no fast food restaurants, so make sure you are prepared. We then board the coach and continue to Scotland, ultimately arriving in the city of Glasgow in the early evening. Upon our arrival we’ll proceed directly to Glasgow Cathedral, one of Scotland’s most magnificent medieval buildings, and the only one on the Scottish mainland to survive the Reformation of 1560 intact. If the Cathedral is open we will go inside. Later we’ll enjoy a delicious Indian meal at the restaurant before boarding our coach and making our way to the hotel for a three-night stay.

Breakfast and dinner are included
Glasgow – Loch Lomond – Fort William – Glasgow

After breakfast, we board the coach and make our way to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. On arrival at Loch Lomond, why not enjoy an optional boat cruise; here appreciate the picturesque views of the highlands, whilst indulging in a warm cup of tea or coffee. The Loch Lomond or Lake of the Elms is a freshwater Scottish loch crossing the Highland Boundary Fault, often considered the boundary between the lowlands of Central Scotland and the Highlands. If you decide to forgo the Loch Lomond cruise you can spend the time admiring the scenic beauty from the shoreline of the Loch, which gives you picturesque views of the national park. We then make our way along the scenic route towards Fort William, to visit the Nevis Range. On arrival, we take a cable car (subject to operation) to Aonach Mor on the Nevis range. Standing at 1,345 meters above sea level, it is a popular mountain destination. We will also stop at the Commando Memorial, a Category A listed monument in Lochaber, Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. We’ll also make a stop at the Neptune’s staircase, a flight of eight locks on the Caledonian Canal. This amazing feat of engineering raises the canal by 19 meter’s over a quarter of a mile of continuous masonry. Built by Thomas Telford between 1803 and 1822, it is the longest staircase lock flight in Scotland. We then make our drive back to the restaurant in the evening, before returning to the hotel.

Breakfast and dinner are included.
Glasgow – Edinburgh – Glasgow

Following breakfast we drive to Edinburgh, Scotland’s compact, hilly capital with its medieval Old Town and neoclassical buildings. Whilst on route to Edinburgh we stop at a local whisky distillery for a short tour. The distillery is a working factory, so you can actually see the process of what goes into making whisky. There are over 120 active distilleries across Scotland. The guide will explain the types of whisky produced in Scotland, then offer a sample of the local whisky. We then visit Falkirk wheel for a brief photo stop. Falkirk wheel is a rotating boat lift in Scotland, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. Continuing our journey, we get a spectacular view of the Forth Rail Bridge before arriving in Edinburgh for a visit to the famous Edinburgh Castle with its fine state apartments and Scottish crown jewels. Descend the hill and cross the Royal Mile to see St Giles’ Cathedral and its crown shaped spire. We’ll then make our way to the restaurant for Indian dinner.

Breakfast and dinner are included.
Glasgow – Lake District National Park – Windermere – Lakeside – Br

After breakfast we check out of the hotel and make our way to the Lake District. As we drive through the Lake District, admire the lakes, towns, villages and mountains within this celebrated National Park. Enjoy a 45-minute Lake Windermere cruise from Bowness-on-Windermere, then board a Heritage Steam Train from Lakeside to Haverthwaite. Later, we depart to the outskirts of Bristol for dinner and accommodations.

Bristol – Bath – Stonehenge – London

Following breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to Bath. On arrival we’ll visit the famous Roman Baths, one of the greatest spas of the ancient world. You will also have an opportunity to try the spa water at the end of your visit. We then continue to Stonehenge. At Stonehenge you take the shuttle buses (included in your package) to the ancient stones to uncover the mystery behind one of the country’s most famous World Heritage sites – a must see for anyone visiting the UK.
