Day 1:
Prague
Welcome to Prague! We will be waiting in the arrivals hall at Vaclav Havel Airport to take you to your hotel, where our local guide will provide you with all the necessary information you’ll need for a safe and thoroughly enjoyable trip. Later in the afternoon, we’ll drive you to vibrant and fascinating Old Town Square – a marvelous place to acquaint oneself with Prague.
Day 2:
Prague
Today we’ll introduce you to the capital of the Czech Republic, and the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local expert will lead you on an informative city tour, the highlight of which is a visit to Prague Castle, admission included. Afterwards, we’ll explore another side of the city on a river cruise. In the afternoon you’ll have free time to explore Prague on your own.

Day 3:
Prague – Lauf – Wurzburg – Frankfurt
In the morning we’ll depart for Germany. Our first stop: Lauf an der Pegnitz, a picturesque Bavarian village remarkable for its Castle and Market Square. Afterwards we’ll travel to Wurzburg on the banks of the Maine. After free time for lunch and a stroll (own expense), we’ll continue to Frankfurt.

Day 4:
Frankfurt – Rhine Valley – Cologne – Amsterdam
Venturing out of Frankfurt in the morning, we’ll take a cruise on the Rhine River between the villages of Rudesheim and Sankt Goarhausen: undoubtedly the most picturesque section of the Rhine River Valley. Next, our journey takes us to Cologne, home to an impressive and immense Gothic cathedral. From here we’ll leave Germany behind us and travel to Holland, arriving in Amsterdam in the late afternoon. At the end of the day, you will be taken to Rembrandtplein, one of the busiest squares in the city with plenty of restaurants to choose from (own expense).

Day 5:
Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans – Volendam – Marken – Amsterdams
First up on our Holland itinerary is Volendam, a picturesque fishing village, then make our way to Zaanse Schans to photograph the iconic windmills. We’ll visit a cheese farm, where you will be given samples of cheese and wine. In the afternoon we’ll return to Amsterdam for a panoramic tour of the narrow canals, as well as Dam Square. We’ll also visit a diamond workshop to see how these precious gems are cut. Later you’ll be transferred to the Red Light District where you can explore on your own and enjoy dinner (own expense).

Day 6:
Amsterdam – Hamelin – Berlin
Say farewell to Amstedam as we cross the border into Germany. Along the way we’ll stop in Hamelin, setting of the famous Pied Piper tale. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive at our destination: Berlin, one of the most famous cities in Germany. We’ll spend the evening in the lively Jewish quarter and have dinner (own expense) before we head back to the hotel.

Day 7:
Berlin
Today we’ll ease our way into the local culture with a guided tour of Berlin. First, we’ll visit the historic center: Museum Island, the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and the city’s magnificent parks, continuing with a visit to the Holocaust Memorial and Berlin Wall Museum. Afterwards you’ll have free time to explore on your own. In the evening we’ll take you to the lively area of Kantstrasse for dinner (own expense).

Day 8:
Berlin – Dresden – Prague
Today we’ll journey through the forests of Germany to the great city of Dresden, now one of the most popular destinations in Europe thanks to recent restoration efforts. You’ll have free time to explore the impressive Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) and Zwinger Palace, grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many fine restaurants and coffee shops (own expense). Our tour service ends upon our return to Prague around 4:15pm, at one of the partner hotels (Duo or Panorama Hotel Prague).
