Bangalore to Wayanad Distance

Wayanad is approximately 350 kilometres from Bangalore, with the distance varying depending on the route taken. It takes about 6-7 hours to cover the distance because the majority of the path is on hilly terrain and cannot be covered at high speed.

The journey from Bangalore to Wayanad is easy for the most part because these are toll roads that are well maintained by the Department of Highways. These are four-lane highways with medians that separate oncoming traffic, well-planned layouts, and service roads. On these highways, white lines, cat eyes, and blinking LED road studs provide additional protection. The toll booths are located 40-60 kilometres apart on average.

The roads in the Ghats are narrower and more difficult. For starters, you’re constantly climbing, and there are sharp hairpin bends that require skill and precision to navigate while avoiding traffic on the way down. In addition, hilly terrain is unpredictable, with fog rising unexpectedly and obstructing visibility. Keep this in mind as you plan your Bangalore to Wayanad road trip. Begin early in the morning to avoid driving along the Ghat stretch after sunset.

The best routes between Bangalore and Wayanad

When you’re on a road trip, you’re in control of your own vehicle, so you can choose the route you want to take. There are three different routes from which to choose. All three routes are suitable; however, we advise taking a different one on the ascent and a different one on the descent. You’ll see a lot more and have a memorable ride if you do it this way.

The Mysore route

Along NH 275, you’ll pass a few noteworthy locations on this route. Bangalore – Channapatna – Srirangapatna – Mysore – Kattikulam – Wayanad is the route you need to take. With a few stops, it travels for 324 km in about 7 hours.

However, it will take a little longer if you want to make stops at tourist attractions. The tourist attractions we would suggest visiting are –

  • Heritage Winery: Tours of the Channapatna winery’s vineyards and distillery are available, demonstrating how the Sula wine is made. Both the location and the tour are fascinating. You’ll be able to sample the wine.
  • Barachukki Falls:When the fall is at its best during the monsoon, it’s worth the detour.
  • Mysore: There is a lot to see and do in Mysore, and we suggest spending at least a full day exploring the Amba Vilas Palace, the Brindavan Gardens, and the Mysore Zoo.

The Coorg Route

The route to Wayanad via Coorg is a little bit longer, but it’s worth every minute of your time and effort. Coorg is reached after a more than 250-kilometer scenic drive on NH 75. Hit the Bidadi, Ramanagara, Channapatna, Hunsur, Periyapatna, Karadigodu (Coorg), SH 89, and Wayanad sections of the Bangalore-Mysore Road. Wayanad is about 110 kilometres from Coorg.

If you have the time, check out Abbey Falls and Mallalli Falls, which are seasonal waterfalls. Take a historical tour of the Madikeri Fort and check out the perspectives for a bird’s eye view of the Western Ghats.

The Somnathpur-Bandipur Route

The drive is almost 400 km long and passes through the Bandipur Tiger Reserve Forest. You will travel on NH 275 and NH 766. Bangalore, Channapatna, Malavalli, Gundlupet, Bandipur, Wayanad, and Somanathapura are among the cities mentioned.

The National Park and the Bandipur Tiger Reserve are the highlights of this route. You will likely encounter animals on your drive, including deer, elephants, foxes, mongooses, peacocks, etc. At the Forest Reserve office, pause for a wildlife safari. There is a good chance that you will see a tiger in the wild because this is tiger territory.

The Hoysalas built the historic Chennakesava Temple on this route, and there are also the highest Gopalaswamy Betta and Peak of Chembra, both of which offer spectacular views.

Best time to Travel

The ideal time to arrange a road trip from Bangalore to Wayanad is between October and May. When that time comes, the rain has stopped and the temperature has been pleasantly fluctuating between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius. The forests turn a lush green colour, and the warm climate is attracting wildlife.

If you don’t mind the rain because there is a lot of it, the months of June through September are also pleasant. But the best time to go is when the scenery is at its most vibrant. The earth is being drank up by the rains, and the surrounding area is turning green. The waterfalls erupt with an endless burst of foamy water, and the rivers and streams begin to dance even more. Nature produces stunning series.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while on a road trip:

  • Check your car’s condition, have it serviced, fill up the gas tank, and check the air pressure in all of the wheels, including the spare.

Full Board Vs All Inclusive in Maldives

Maldives is a group of islands in the Indian Ocean with pristine blue waters. Looking for a luxurious get-away from the city? The Maldives should be at the top of your bucket list. Because each resort is spread out over a large area, you feel as if you are in a different dreamland entirely. Each resort has a variety of fun-filled activities planned to make your stay memorable. A meal plan is an essential part of your Maldives itinerary. Continue reading to learn about the various meal plans and how to decide between full board and all inclusive:

List of contents:

  • What is a meal plan?
  • Why is it necessary to choose a meal plan?
  • What is included in an All Inclusive Meal Plan?
  • Full Board Vs All Inclusive

What is a meal plan?

A meal plan in Maldives refers to the type of food and beverage package that is included in a vacation package.

There are several different types of meal plans that can be offered by Maldives resorts, including:

  • Full Board: This meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. This is a good option for those who want to experience the local cuisine and dine at different restaurants during their stay. With Full Board, guests have the flexibility to plan their own meals and try different dining options.

  • All Inclusive: This meal plan is more comprehensive and includes all meals and drinks (including alcohol) at the hotel’s restaurants and bars. This option is ideal for those who want to fully relax and not worry about additional costs during their vacation. All-inclusive plans typically include buffet-style meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the day.

  • Half Board: This meal plan includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

  • Room Only: This meal plan includes accommodation only, meaning that guests will need to pay for all meals and drinks separately.

It’s important to note that not all Maldives resorts offer the same meal plans or inclusions, so it’s always best to check before making a decision. It’s also worth to check for any restrictions or extra cost for certain restaurants or activities in the resort.

Why is it necessary to choose a meal plan?

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included in the Full Board meal plan. It is the most popular meal plan because it fits into any budget. One can be confident that there will be few overheads. This meal plan is provided by all resorts in the Maldives. Are you wondering if the Full Board meal plan only includes food? Surprisingly, it includes snorkelling equipment as well as non-motorized water sport equipment such as a paddleboard, kayak, and a few others at no extra cost. Don’t forget to use it to your heart’s content until you leave. A quick tip: confirm with the resort if they provide the same before booking a Maldives package, as some resorts do not.

Snorkeling is one activity that allows you to explore the underwater world. The best part is that you don’t need to know how to swim to snorkel. Put on your wetsuit and dive into the water.

What is included in an All Inclusive Meal Plan?

Everyone at the party would appreciate an all-inclusive meal plan. It includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. What do you think? You can consume it as much as you want at the Bar at any time. Aside from the inclusions included in the Full Board meal plan, the resorts provide a few other amenities. Although it varies by resort, you can be confident that for the money you pay, you will have an advantage over others. You can get anything from a floating breakfast to free snorkelling lessons, a mini bar, and spa coupons.

Understand that it has some drawbacks as well. It is possible that one will not be able to get or order drinks to the room at the same price. It’s possible that your favourite drink isn’t on the list. Evening snacks might not be provided. Lessons in water sports may be extra. It is entirely dependent. Just make sure to double-check the inclusions so you don’t feel cheated on y

Full Board Vs All Inclusive

Full Board and All Inclusive are two different types of meal plans that can be included in a Maldives vacation package. Full Board is a meal plan that includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. This is a good option for those who want to experience the local cuisine and dine at different restaurants during their stay. With Full Board, guests have the flexibility to plan their own meals and try different dining options.

All Inclusive, on the other hand, is a more comprehensive meal plan that includes all meals and drinks (including alcohol) at the hotel’s restaurants and bars. This option is ideal for those who want to fully relax and not worry about additional costs during their vacation. All-inclusive plans typically include buffet-style meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. All Inclusive plans are generally more expensive than Full Board plans, but it offers more convenience and can save money in the long run if you plan on consuming a lot of food and drinks while on vacation.

It’s also important to note that not all Maldives resorts offer the same All Inclusive packages, some may include only certain drinks or activities while others may have more extensive options. It’s always best to check the inclusions before making a decision.

In summary, the Full Board meal plan is a good option for those who want to experience the local cuisine and dine at different restaurants during their stay. All Inclusive is ideal for those who want to fully relax and not worry about additional costs during their vacation. It’s always best to check the inclusions before making a decision.
